We now have Showcases and a Showroom! πŸš€

Nine open positions β€” Berlin and remote.

Aurea Medical is hiring.

Engineering, clinical and operations β€” career changers from clinic and research are explicitly welcome.

Clinical experience meets technical depth.

Clinicians, data scientists and engineers β€” in one room, not in silos.

At Aurea, physicians sit at the same table as ML engineers. That’s what it takes to build models that actually work in everyday clinical practice.

85 people, one team, one goal.

We build software that saves lives.

From three disciplines β€” medicine, data science and engineering β€” we build a platform that supports radiologists every day in clinical work.

Clinical focus areas

Where Aurea models support clinical work

Aurea doesn’t build generic AI. We focus on three clinical areas where our models have been proven to accelerate diagnosis and improve reporting quality.

Chest radiology

  • COVID-19 diagnostics
  • Pneumonia detection
  • Aortic aneurysm detection
  • Suspected pulmonary embolism

Oncology

  • Lung cancer screening
  • Lymphoma classification
  • Therapy monitoring
  • Bone metastasis detection
At a glance

Three clinical areas in detail

Aurea focuses on three radiology specialties. The following modules show which specific applications our AI supports in the clinic.

Pneumonia cases

For acute respiratory symptoms, Aurea indicates whether the case is bacterial or viral pneumonia β€” critical in the ER to start the right therapy quickly.

COVID-19 reporting

Built during the pandemic, still in routine use: Aurea detects typical COVID findings in chest CT and estimates severity. Long COVID follow-up monitoring is also supported.

Suspected pulmonary embolism

For acute shortness of breath and chest pain, Aurea marks suspicious emboli directly in CT pulmonary angiography. Critical cases are prioritised β€” radiologists see immediately what needs to be reported first.

What defines us

Three principles that shape our team every day

At Aurea Medical, clinicians, data scientists and engineers don’t work in silos. They work in interdisciplinary teams on real patient cases. We believe the best AI models emerge where clinical experience and technical depth meet directly.

Patient first. Every decision β€” from model architecture to UI details β€” is measured by whether it serves the clinical diagnosis.

Scientific, not hyped. We publish our methods in peer-reviewed journals and work with university hospitals on validated studies.

Together, not in parallel. Clinicians, engineers and product work in one room β€” not across tickets.

Disciplines

Specialists from engineering, clinical and operations

Behind the four leadership faces, specialists work in three areas β€” all together on an AI platform that has to hold up in everyday clinical use.
